LAKELAND, Fla. - Polk County Sheriff's Office is hoping the public can help identify a man who was caught on camera taking someone else's wallet from a Racetrac location.

LAKELAND, Fla. – Polk County Sheriff’s Office is hoping the public can help identify a man who was caught on camera taking someone else’s wallet from a RaceTrac location.

The theft occurred on July 19th, at around 10:30 am, at the RaceTrac store at 6605 US 98 N in Lakeland, according to PCSO.

Deputies say a customer accidentally left his cell phone and wallet on a counter in the store. A man on video was seen taking the victim’s cell phone and wallet, placing them in his pocket, and leaving the store.

The suspect may have left in a gray or silver Honda Civic.
