POLK COUNTY, Fla. -The Polk County Sheriff’s Office, in collaboration with the United States Postal Inspection Service, is investigating an armed robbery involving a postal carrier that occurred on August 1, 2024, around 3:04 p.m. on Oak Circle in Poinciana (Kissimmee).

During the incident, a masked suspect approached the mail carrier, initially stumbling but quickly regaining his balance before pointing a gun at the victim and demanding her universal key.

The carrier complied, handing over the key used to unlock mailboxes, after which the suspect fled the scene. Fortunately, the mail carrier was unharmed.

The suspect is described as a black male, possibly in his early 20s, weighing around 150 pounds. He was reportedly wearing a t-shirt over his face with holes cut out for the mouth and eyes.

The U.S. Postal Inspection Service is offering a reward of up to $150,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect. Anyone with information is urged to contact the U.S. Postal Inspection Service at 1-877-876-2455 (say “Law Enforcement”), referencing Case No. 4352857-ROBB. All tips will be kept strictly confidential.
