WINTER HAVEN, Fla. – Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd briefed the media and the public at 8:30 a.m. this morning from the scene of an overnight homicide that occurred on St. Paul Drive in unincorporated Winter Haven.
According to Sheriff Grady Judd, a 911 call was received around 2:30 am on Tuesday about a deceased male in the driveway of a home on St. Paul Drive.
“No one is heard anything. No one has reported anything to us. And we obviously we start our investigation,” said Judd. “Our investigation at this point tells us that our victim is a 15-year-old black male.”

Judd said the teen is apparently a gang member and may have been formally documented as a gang member on Monday.
“So at this point in the investigation we need calls, we need help, and anonymous phone calls to Crimestoppers will get you five thousand dollars cash for just telling us who murdered this 15-year-old boy,” said Judd.
