POLK COUNTY, Fla. – Starting October 1st, Polk County Solid Waste will discontinue curbside recycling collection for residents in unincorporated areas of the county.
This change means that residents will no longer be able to put their recyclable materials out for pickup.

However, the county has stated that residents can repurpose their existing recycling bins for household or yard waste disposal.
