TAMPA, Fla. – A 32-year-old man suspected of robbing a Tampa bank on August 3rd was apprehended in Port St. Lucie on August 4th, following a multi-agency effort that involved an anonymous Crime Stoppers tip and the relentless pursuit of Polk County Sheriff’s Deputy Tefoe.

Polk County Deputy Tefoe initiated a thorough investigation, successfully identifying the Uber driver and determining that Trujillo had been dropped off at a gas station in Port St. Lucie. This information was relayed to the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office, who swiftly located and arrested Trujillo.

Polk County Sheriff’s Office praised the collective effort, stating, “A dangerous criminal was put behind bars thanks to the coordinated effort between Deputy Tefoe, his fellow deputies, the PCSO crime analysts, and others. And none of this would have occurred if not for the anonymous tip made to Crime Stoppers.”
