POLK COUNTY, Fla. – Polk County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO) deputies apprehended a wanted man after discovering him hiding in a crawl space at a residence in the Redhawk neighborhood of Lakeland.
The suspect, 48-year-old Jeremy Buchanan, was sought for an active warrant out of DeSoto County for Violation of Probation related to DUI (3rd Offense) and Driving While License Suspended or Revoked.
Acting on a tip, deputies arrived at the residence on July 19, off of West Socrum Loop Road and conducted a thorough search, eventually locating Buchanan concealed within the crawl space.

Upon discovery, Buchanan surrendered without further incident.
In addition to the outstanding warrant, Buchanan was charged with resisting arrest for his attempt to evade apprehension.
He was subsequently transported to the Polk County Jail, where he remains in custody.
