POLK COUNTY, Fla. – Over the weekend, residents of Poinciana may have observed heightened law enforcement activity on Ohio Way. This was due to the arrest of 31-year-old Giovanni Gomez, who was wanted on multiple charges.
On Saturday evening, August 25th, Polk County Sheriff’s Office deputies received information that Gomez was at a residence on 418 Ohio Way.

Gomez had outstanding Osceola County warrants for DUI manslaughter causing harm or death to an unborn child (2 counts) and driving without a license causing a death or serious injury (2 counts).
Deputies located Gomez at the residence and took him into custody without incident.
