POLK COUNTY, Fla. – A familiar face to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office was arrested Wednesday evening, October 16th, on multiple fraud charges.
Jason Scott Smith has a lengthy criminal history, including burglary, theft, car theft, and fraud. This time, he was wanted by the Lakeland Police Department for four felony fraud counts.

PCSO deputies located Smith on Wheeler Road in Lakeland and took him into custody without incident. He was then transported back to the Polk County Jail.
Smith was booked into the Polk County Jail and has previously served three terms in Florida State Prison, but his past incarcerations haven’t deterred his criminal activity.
