Police Rivalry Heats Up On The Diamond: Clearwater, Largo Clash In Charity Softball Showdown

CLEARWATER, Fla. – The annual battle for bragging rights is back as Clearwater Police officers face off against their counterparts from the Largo Police Department in the 22nd Annual Charity Softball Game. The friendly rivalry takes center stage this Saturday afternoon, promising an action-packed day for a great cause.

The first pitch is scheduled for 4 p.m. at BayCare Ballpark in Clearwater, where the two law enforcement agencies will trade their badges for bats and balls. This year’s event offers more than just a softball game; attendees can expect a full evening of entertainment.

For a $20 ticket, spectators will enjoy not only the police softball game but also a Clearwater Threshers baseball game against the Daytona Tortugas at 6:30 p.m. The ticket price also includes an all-you-can-eat food and drink buffet from 5:30 to 8 p.m., ensuring a satisfying experience for all.

Families are encouraged to attend, as the event will feature games and activities for children. A silent auction will also be held, providing opportunities to bid on various items and contribute to the charity. To cap off the night, a fireworks display will light up the sky after the Threshers game.

Tickets will be available for purchase at the west gate of BayCare Ballpark, starting at 3:15 p.m. on Saturday. All proceeds from the event will go towards supporting local charities, making it a win-win for both the community and the participating police departments.
