Plant City Airsoft Gun Assault ‘Person Of Interest’ Identified, Cooperating With Authorities

PLANT CITY, FL. – At approximately 8:22 p.m. on April 22, 2022, the Plant City Police Department was dispatched to the 100 block of S. Evers St. reference the reporting of persons being struck with pellets from an airsoft handgun.

Upon police arrival, it was learned that one male adult and one female adult sustained minor injuries that did not require medical treatment. It was reported that the suspect(s) fled in the area in an SUV that was described as a white, older model, possibly Chevrolet Suburban, with a loud muffler/exhaust system and aftermarket tail lights.

Crimestoppers of Tampa Bay assisted with the investigation by offering a reward for information. Several tips were received and were shared with the Plant City Police Department.

As a result of those leads, a person of interest was developed and has been cooperating with the police in the investigation.

The Plant City Police Department is no longer looking for the SUV or additional persons of interest.
