Plan Zephyrhills 2035 Comprehensive Plan Update

ZEPHYRHILLS, Fla. – The City of Zephyrhills, Pasco County’s largest municipality, is working on a major update to the City’s comprehensive plan.

A significant part of community planning is getting people from all parts of the community together to talk about community issues and needs, but also various ideas that could help Zephyrhills be an even better place to live, work, and play.

In the summer 2022, the City will host “Community Conversations” in various locations around Zephyrhills and via an online engagement hub to learn about hopes and dreams for Zephyrhills through the year 2035.

The City of Zephyrhills, Pasco County's largest municipality, is working on a major update to the City's comprehensive plan.

With community input, the City will set out to answer the two central questions of comprehensive planning: “What does our community’s best future look like?” and “How will we achieve that vision of the future?”

Plan Zephyrhills 2035 “Community Conversations” upcoming scheduled public meetings:

  • Tues., June 21 at 6 PM (Sarah Vande Berg Tennis Center, 6586 Simons Rd.)
  • Sat., June 25 at 9 AM (Zephyrhills Public Library, 5347 8th St.)
  • Thurs., July 7 at 6 PM (Zephyrhills Depot Museum, 39110 South Ave.)

During this process, the City aims to collect thousands of ideas from residents, business owners, workers, and other community stakeholders for use in creating a citywide vision for 2035.

The citywide vision will be described in words and illustrations to paint a picture of the community’s desired future. This ‘picture’ will become the foundation for setting goals and policies for the new comprehensive plan, PlanZepyrhills 2035.
