Pinellas Park Police Responded to 62nd Street For Incendiary Devices

PINELLAS PARK, Fla. – On Thursday, at approximately 1 PM, Pinellas Park Police Officers and Detectives responded to the 12200 Blk of 62nd St, where a citizen located an undisclosed amount of incendiary devices. Officers cleared the immediate area, and the devices were deemed safe by the Tampa Bomb Squad.

Through investigation, detectives learned the devices originated in the 3500 Blk of 118th Ave. Once located, they were moved to the 12200 Blk of 62nd St by a citizen, and law enforcement responded to the scene. The location off of 62nd St is within close proximity of the Pinellas Park High School. There was no impact on the student’s safety during this incident. At this time, the area is safe, and there is no threat to the public.

The investigation is still active, and no other information is anticipated to be released until completion.
