Pinellas Park Police Respond To Located Bones, Determine Non-Human Origin

PINELLAS PARK, Fla.- Construction workers at the Personal Enrichment Mental Health Services facility on 58th St. N in Pinellas Park made an unexpected discovery yesterday afternoon – bones unearthed while moving soil.

Pinellas Park Police responded to the scene around 12:15 PM and, with the help of the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Forensics team and the Medical Examiner’s office, determined the remains were not human, but rather those of a horse.

After a thorough search of the area yielded no further findings, the scene was cleared and construction resumed.
