Pinellas Park Police Department Investigate Attempted Bank Robbery At Truist Bank

Police in Pinellas Park are investigating an attempted bank robbery that happened on Friday afternoon.

PINELLAS PARK, Fla. – Police in Pinellas Park are investigating an attempted bank robbery that happened on Friday afternoon.

Police say at approximately 1 PM Friday, the Pinellas Park Police Department responded to the Truist Bank located at 7694 49th St N for a reported bank robbery.

Through investigation, it was learned a white male approached a bank teller and passed a note requesting money.

The unknown male subject implied he had a weapon, but no weapon was displayed during the robbery.  Ultimately, bank staff refused to provide any funds to the suspect, and he left the bank without incident.

Various law enforcement resources were utilized to locate the suspect; however, the suspect has not been located at this time. 

The suspect is described as a white male wearing a white shirt and shorts, black shoes, and a tan baseball cap with reader-style glasses.  The suspect is believed to be approximately 50 years of age with white facial hair.

This investigation is still active, and more information will be released as it becomes available.
