PINELLAS PARK, Fla. – Pinellas Park Police Department Investigators have identified the suspect vehicle and driver in the crash that occurred on May 9th at approximately 4:00 AM in the 9600 Block of 66th St.
Investigators received an anonymous tip about a vehicle having new suspicious damage over the weekend.
Upon locating the vehicle and contacting its owner, 62-year-old Scott Muli of St. Petersburg, it was determined that it was the suspect vehicle.

Through continued investigation, Scott Muli was identified as the vehicle’s driver during the crash.
The initial crash occurred in the northbound lanes of 66th St in the 9600 block.
The victim, Dominick Venose, was believed to be crossing the roadway midblock when he was struck by Scott Muli, who was traveling northbound.
After the collision, Scott Muli fled the scene in the opposite direction and failed to remain on scene and notify law enforcement. Dominick Venose remains in critical condition at a local hospital.
On May 13th, Scott Muli was taken into custody at his residence in St. Petersburg for Leaving the Scene of a crash involving serious bodily injury. He has been booked at the Pinellas County Jail.
