Pinellas Park Police Arrest 59-Year-Old Man On 10-Counts Of Child Porn

PINELLAS PARK, Fla. – Pinellas Park Police detectives have arrested a 59-year-old man for Possession of Child Pornography and Tampering with Evidence after an investigation that started in October.

According to police, in October of 2023, they received information that led to an investigation into the online activity of Richard Sobkiewicz Jr.

During this investigation, detectives located over 1,600 media files of illegal content involving the abuse of children on the suspect’s laptop.

On Thursday, detectives arrested Richard Sobkiewicz Jr. and charged him with ten counts of Possession of Child Pornography and one count of Tampering with Physical Evidence.
