PINELLAS PARK, Fla. – A bicyclist was seriously injured in a hit-and-run accident on July 14, 2024, at the intersection of 62nd Avenue and 42nd Street. The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) is seeking the public’s help in identifying the driver of a dark-colored Toyota sedan that fled the scene.
The accident occurred at approximately 11:05 PM while the bicyclist was traveling eastbound on 62nd Avenue.
The vehicle struck the bicyclist and then fled the scene, leaving the victim with serious injuries. The bicyclist was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

Troopers recovered debris at the scene, including a Toyota emblem, which they hope will help identify the vehicle involved.
