Pinellas County Traffic Alert: Nightly Lane And Ramp Closures Planned For I-275 And SR 690

PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. – Drivers in Pinellas County should be aware of upcoming nightly lane and ramp closures on Interstate 275 and State Road 690 (Gateway Expressway).

I-275 Express Lanes:

  • The northbound and/or southbound I-275 Express Lanes may be closed from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. on Friday, March 7th, and Sunday, March 9th, through Friday, March 14th.
  • Detour: Use the I-275 general use (free) travel lanes.

SR 690 Ramps:

  • Westbound SR 690 exit ramp onto northbound US 19: May be closed from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. on Friday, March 7th, and Sunday, March 9th, through Friday, March 14th.
    • Detour: Exit onto westbound 118th Avenue N, continue west, turn right onto northbound Frontage Road, and use the entrance ramp onto northbound US 19.
  • Southbound US 19 exit ramp onto eastbound SR 690: May be closed from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. on Friday, March 7th, and Sunday, March 9th, through Friday, March 14th.
    • Detour: Exit at Ulmerton Road, go south on Frontage Road, turn left onto eastbound 118th Avenue N, and use the left lane entrance ramp onto eastbound SR 690.
  • Eastbound SR 690 Express Lane ramp onto northbound I-275: May be closed from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. on Friday, March 7th, and Sunday, March 9th, through Friday, March 14th.
    • Detour: Use the general use (free) entrance ramp to the right of the Express Lane ramp into the free lanes of northbound I-275.
