PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. – Drivers in St. Petersburg should be aware of upcoming nightly closures of the eastbound I-175 exit ramp to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Street South and 8th Street South.
Starting tonight, March 3rd, the ramp will close nightly from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., Sunday through Thursday nights only. The closures are expected to last for approximately three weeks, weather permitting.

During the ramp closures, motorists will be detoured as follows:
- Continue eastbound on I-175.
- Exit the interstate at the 6th Street South exit.
- Turn left onto 6th Street South.
- Turn left onto 4th Avenue South.
- Proceed towards 8th Street South and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Street South.
Advanced warning signs and electronic message boards will be in place to guide motorists through the detour. Drivers should anticipate delays and congestion in the area during these closures.

The ramp closures are part of the ongoing I-175 concrete pavement repair project, which spans from 16th Street South to 4th Street South in Pinellas County. Construction on this project is expected to be completed in late 2025.
