PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. – Pinellas County Tax Collector Adam Ross and his team recently presented a donation of $4,254.50 to Suncoast Animal League (SAL), a non-profit, no-kill animal shelter in Palm Harbor. The donation was the culmination of a year-long fundraising effort by the tax collector’s office.
SAL was chosen as the tax collector’s office’s annual charity for 2024. Throughout the year, employees participated in various fundraising activities, including “Thread of Hope” days, where they donated money to break dress code for a themed clothing day. Themes included Disney Day, Sports Day, and Tropical Shirt Day.

“I am honored to lead a team that finds creative and impactful ways to give back to our community,” said Tax Collector Adam Ross. “Suncoast Animal League has done so much good in Pinellas. The PCTC team is proud to present them with this donation, and my wife and I even adopted a puppy from the event at the St. Pete office.”
In addition to “Thread of Hope,” the tax collector offices hosted pet supply drives and food truck events, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting SAL. The final fundraising event was a Food Truck Friday held at the tax collector’s St. Petersburg office on January 17th.
The tax collector team has selected Angels Against Abuse as their 2025 annual charity.
