PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. – Pinellas County is in a race against time to clear debris from neighborhoods before Hurricane Milton makes landfall. Local, state, and federal agencies are working tirelessly to remove as much debris as possible, but with the storm fast approaching, time is running out.

Debris Collection Operations Halted at Noon Today

County debris collection operations will cease at noon today to allow crews to secure essential equipment and prepare for the hurricane’s impact. This will also give staff time to go home and make necessary arrangements for their families and homes.

Residential Debris Sites Closing

The residential debris sites for unincorporated residents on Icot Boulevard and at the corner of Keystone Road & East Lake Road will also close at noon today.

Solid Waste Facility Remains Open

The Pinellas County Solid Waste Facility at 3095 114th Ave N, St. Petersburg, will remain open to accept municipal solid waste until 6 p.m. today. State-run operations to accept storm debris from Hurricane Helene are ongoing, with storm debris accepted through the 28th Street gate.
