PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. – Pinellas County has lifted the mandatory evacuation order for zones A, B, C, and mobile homes that was issued in anticipation of Hurricane Milton. Bridges to the barrier islands have also reopened.
However, officials are urging residents to avoid unnecessary travel due to hazardous road conditions. Many areas are still without power and water, and debris and other obstacles may be present on roadways.
“While we are lifting the evacuation order, we are asking residents to stay home if possible,” said a county official. “This will allow our crews to work more efficiently in clearing roads and restoring essential services.”
