PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. – A 64-year-old inmate, David Egle, was found unresponsive in his cell at the Pinellas County Jail on September 4th, 2024. Despite life-saving efforts by deputies, medical staff, and paramedics, Egle was pronounced deceased shortly after being discovered.
Egle had been booked into the jail on September 1st on charges of Driving While License Suspended/Revoked and Violation of Probation.

Detectives investigating the death have found no evidence suggesting Egle was involved in any physical altercations or sustained injuries during his incarceration.
The Medical Examiner’s Office is working to determine the cause and manner of death. Egle’s next of kin has been notified, and the investigation is ongoing.
