PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. – Saltwater flooding can cause electric vehicles (EVs) and golf carts to spontaneously catch fire, even days after the exposure.

If you evacuated due to flooding and left an EV or golf cart in your garage or under a building, and you are unable to access or move it, please get in touch with Pinellas County immediately.

Call the Pinellas County information center at 727-464-4333 and provide your address. They will relay this vital information to your local fire department to ensure your safety and prevent potential fire hazards.
