Pinellas County Issues Air Pollution Precautionary Advisory

PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. - The Pinellas County Air Quality Section of Public Works has issued an Air Pollution Advisory due to elevated levels of the pollutant Ozone.

PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. – The Pinellas County Air Quality Section of Public Works has issued an Air Pollution Advisory due to elevated levels of the pollutant Ozone.

This advisory is effective Tuesday, May 30, and continues throughout the day.

According to models, they anticipate experiencing the Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups category with Air Quality Index (AQI) values from 101 – 150.

People sensitive to ozone or with lung diseases such as asthma, older adults, children and teenagers, and people who are active outdoors should consider reducing prolonged or heavy outdoor exertion.
