Pinellas County Deputies Offer Transportation Assistance To Flood-Stranded Residents

PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. – In the aftermath of Hurricane Milton, floodwaters continue to impact parts of Pinellas County. To assist residents stranded by high water in the Lansbrook area of Palm Harbor, the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office is providing transportation in high-water vehicles.

Residents unable to leave or reach their homes due to flooding near Tarpon Lake Boulevard can contact the Sheriff’s Office at 727-582-6200 to request transportation.

“For clarification, the affected area is the Tarpon Woods neighborhood near East Lake Road. The drop-off/pick-up location is the old Bank of American building (East Lake Road & Tarpon Woods Boulevard) at 2551 Tarpon Woods Boulevard in Palm Harbor,” said PCSO.

Deputies will transport residents from their homes to a designated meeting point at 2551 Tarpon Woods Boulevard in Palm Harbor. This location will also serve as the pickup point for residents returning to their homes once floodwaters recede.

This service will operate daily from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. until the flooding subsides.
