‘Non-Certified’ Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office Employee Arrested After Pulling Gun On Husband

Deputies have arrested a non-certified employee of the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office following a domestic-related dispute.

PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. – Deputies have arrested a non-certified Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office employee following a domestic-related dispute.

According to deputies, 55-year-old Ekaterina O’Neal engaged in a verbal altercation with her husband at their residence in Seminole.

At some point during the altercation, O’Neal retrieved a personally owned handgun and pointed it at her husband, and after lowering the gun, she stated she was going to shoot him.

O’Neal’s husband was not injured during the altercation.

During the deputies’ investigation, deputies also arrested O’Neal’s husband, 54-year-old Craig O’Neal, charging him with one count of Domestic Battery by Strangulation.

O’Neal was taken into custody and charged with one count of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and transported to the Pinellas County Jail without incident.

O’Neal has been employed as a non-certified dental assistant with the agency since 2014.
