PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. – Pinellas County is significantly expanding its support for low-income homeowners struggling with costly home repairs. Through an updated Home Repair Program, eligible residents can now access up to $75,000 in fully forgivable loans to address critical needs like roof replacements, window repairs, and HVAC upgrades.
This enhanced assistance aims to help homeowners preserve their properties and stay in their homes without the burden of monthly loan payments. To qualify, homeowners must meet specific income requirements and their homes must be located in unincorporated Pinellas or participating cities.

In addition to the expanded loan program, Pinellas County has also increased its Independent Living Grant to $20,000, offering support for accessibility improvements like wheelchair ramps and grab bars. Homeowners can apply for both programs, potentially receiving a total of $95,000 in financial assistance.
The program is fully funded by the State Housing Initiatives Partnership Program (SHIP) and is available to homeowners with incomes up to $53,500 for individuals or $76,400 for families of four.
