PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. – Pinellas County Utilities has temporarily adjusted the watering schedule for North County reclaimed water customers, providing an extra weekly watering day. This change comes after recent system repairs temporarily shut down reclaimed water service.

The temporary schedule will be in effect for two weeks, from Sunday, February 23, 2025, through Friday, March 7, 2025. During this period, customers will be allowed to water one additional day per week, up to a maximum of three days, to compensate for the service interruption.

Billing will continue as normal, and customers will be charged for their reclaimed water usage.

Beginning Sunday, February 23, reclaimed water customers residing north of Curlew Road will be permitted to water based on their house address, according to the following schedule:

  • Addresses ending in 1, 3, 5, 7, or 9: Wednesdays, Fridays, and/or Sundays.
  • Addresses ending in 0, 2, 4, 6, or 8: Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.
  • Mixed-address or no-address properties (e.g., common areas): Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.

Watering is prohibited between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM on all permitted days.

Pinellas County Utilities stated that this temporary adjustment is intended to allow customers to adequately irrigate their lawns and gardens now that the reclaimed water system is fully operational again. Residents are urged to adhere to the assigned watering days and times to prevent overuse of the available supply. The county start date is incorrect. It should be February 23.
