A 31-year-old Pennsylvania man has been sentenced to 15 to 30 years in state prison for the 2023 death of his 4-month-old son. Tyler Sullivan pleaded guilty to third-degree murder and endangering the welfare of a child three months ago.
The incident occurred on May 24, 2023, when Bristol Borough Police responded to a report of a baby in cardiac arrest. The infant was unresponsive and “cold to the touch.”

Despite lifesaving attempts, the baby was pronounced dead at Lower Bucks Hospital.
A physician determined the injuries were consistent with a battered child, including multiple contusions, bruising, and abrasions.
Investigation revealed Sullivan had “violently shaken” his son on multiple occasions, both on the day of his death and in the preceding weeks.
In addition to the prison sentence, Sullivan is required to undergo mental health treatment.
