According to court documents, Williams held a leadership position within a local branch of the national Crips gang. He was referred to by authorities as the “second in command” and was directly involved in drug trafficking activities.
The presence of firearms at Williams’ residence during a drug trafficking operation constituted a serious federal offense. This added weight to the initial drug charges.
U.S. District Court Judge Robert D. Mariani handed down the 147-month sentence, highlighting the seriousness of Williams’ crimes. This translates to roughly 12 years and 3 months in federal prison.
