Cleo Johnson, a 33-year-old resident of Farrell, Pennsylvania, has pleaded guilty in federal court to a charge of trafficking cocaine within 1,000 feet of public housing.
On Thursday, his guilty plea was entered before United States District Judge Cathy Bissoon.
The court was informed that Johnson possessed with intent to distribute cocaine base within 1,000 feet of a public housing location on October 29, 2021. The investigation leading to Johnson’s prosecution was a collaborative effort by the Mercer County Drug Task Force, Pennsylvania Office of the Attorney General, FBI, and ATF.

Johnson now faces a potential sentence of one to 40 years in prison and/or a fine of up to $2 million. The actual sentence will be determined by the seriousness of the offense and Johnson’s prior criminal history.
Judge Bissoon has scheduled sentencing for November 5, 2024, at which time Johnson’s fate will be decided.
