Pennsylvania Man Dies In Florida Snorkeling Incident

A 61-year-old Pennsylvania man died on February 27 following a snorkeling incident near the Sombrero Key Lighthouse off Marathon, Florida.

The victim of New Hope, Pennsylvania, was on a snorkeling trip with Spirit Snorkeling when he exited the water and lost consciousness around 2:45 p.m. He was transported to Fishermen’s Hospital in Marathon, where he was pronounced dead at 4:25 p.m.

Authorities are investigating the incident, but foul play is not suspected.
