The investigation began on April 8, 2025, when the FBI National Threat Operations Section (NTOS) received an alert about threatening comments posted to YouTube under the username “Mr Satan.” Federal agents traced the internet activity associated with the “Mr Satan” account to Monper’s residence, the complaint states. The threats were reportedly posted between January 15 and April 5, 2025.

According to the complaint, the investigation revealed Monper obtained a firearms permit shortly after President Trump’s inauguration.

Using the “Mr Satan” account, Monper allegedly made several alarming statements regarding firearms and potential violence. In February 2025, he reportedly commented, “I have bought several guns and been stocking up on ammo since Trump got in office.”

In March 2025, he allegedly wrote, “Eventually im going to do a mass shooting,” and later added, “I have been buying 1 gun a month since the election, body armor, and ammo.”
