A Pennsylvania man was arrested and charged with felony arson, burglary, and misdemeanor reckless endangerment of another person after starting a fire in an apartment he rents out.

On March 23, 2024, shortly before 2:15 AM, West Earl Township Police Officers were dispatched for a civil issue at 312 S 10th Street in Akron, Pennsylvania.

The landlord, identified as Ronald Frisbie III, 28, was unhappy with his tenants after they allegedly broke a washer and dryer machine.

Officers responded and handled the situation, clearing the incident at 2:40 AM.

Four minutes later, another call came in from the same address, and officers again responded to discover that Frisbie III had entered the apartment of the tenants by using a code to a keypad door lock and lit a cardboard box on fire.

The apartment was filled with smoke, and a witness extinguished the fire.

The box was removed from the house and placed outside. The Akron Fire Department responded to make sure the fire was completely extinguished and to help air out the apartment.

Frisbie III was placed under arrest and transported to WEPD’s station, where he was fingerprinted and photographed.

He is now awaiting a preliminary hearing, which will be held at the office of MDJ Torrey Landis at a future date and time.

Ronald E Frisbie II was charged with Arson (F1), Burglary (F1), and two counts of Reckless Endanger Another Person (M2).
