Pennsylvania Electrical Worker Goes On Florida Killing Spree

A man who works for J & B Electric, Inc., based in Pennsylvania went on a killing spree Saturday in Florida.

Three people were killed Saturday morning and one is not expected to live after an attack in Davenport, according to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office.

The first victim was beaten to death while they were sleeping in their bed, Judd said.

The second victim was beaten significantly and was rushed to a local hospital in “extremely critical condition.” Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd said on Saturday that this victim was not expected to survive due to the “horrible nature of his injuries.”

This victim died from their injuries Saturday evening.

A third victim was found dead on the front porch of the home, according to the sheriff. The fourth victim was chased into the street and was hit by Runyon with the baseball bat in the shoulder and back area, but is doing well.

Judd said three other victims, a man, his wife, and their 7-year-old daughter, escaped the home without being harmed.

Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd said Runyon knew all of the victims, which were either coworkers or family of coworkers.

After a three-hour manhunt, the suspect, Shaun Runyon 39, was captured, according to Polk County Sheriff’s Office.

Judd added that Runyon went to a random Lake Wales Home, 3 hours after the killings, where he told a family he had been raped and was covered in blood.

Runyon was taken to a local hospital where deputies located and arrested him.

Runyon’s prior criminal history includes out-of-state charges for Strangulation, Endangering Welfare of a Child, Terroristic Threats, Recklessly Endangering, Assault, Theft by Unlawful Taking, Theft of Lost Property, Receiving Stolen Property, DUI, and Careless Driving.
