Pedestrian Dies Following Dali Boulevard Crash In St. Petersburg; Driver Faces More Charges

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Paul Miller, the 37-year-old pedestrian struck on Dali Boulevard near Bayshore Drive Southeast on the night of January 22nd, has tragically died from his injuries. Mr. Miller passed away at 3:18 a.m. today, January 28th, at Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital in St. Petersburg.

The incident occurred shortly after 8 p.m. on January 22nd when Mr. Miller was working on the side of the road and was struck by a Chrysler minivan driven by 34-year-old Michael Aoun.

Aoun remained at the scene and was initially arrested and charged with driving under the influence and reckless driving causing serious bodily injury.

Following Mr. Miller’s death, additional charges are pending against Aoun. The investigation remains open and active.

The St. Petersburg Police Department continues to investigate this tragic incident and will release further information as it becomes available.
