Pedestrian Critically Injured In Clearwater Crash, Alcohol Suspected

CLEARWATER, Fla. – A 61-year-old male pedestrian was critically injured in a Clearwater crash Tuesday night after being struck by a southbound vehicle while crossing South Missouri Avenue outside of a crosswalk.

Police say the driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with authorities. Alcohol is suspected to have played a role in the incident.

The road was temporarily closed for investigation.
