CLEARWATER, Fla. – A pedestrian was critically injured Sunday evening after being hit by a vehicle on Gulf-to-Bay Boulevard in Clearwater.
The incident occurred around 5:34 p.m. in the 2200 block of Gulf-to-Bay Boulevard. According to Clearwater Police, a 38-year-old pedestrian was crossing the boulevard from south to north when they were struck by an eastbound vehicle driven by a 46-year-old man.

The pedestrian sustained life-threatening injuries and was airlifted to Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital as a trauma alert.
Preliminary investigations suggest that neither speed nor alcohol played a role in the crash on the part of the driver.
