PASCO COUNTY, Fla. – Paul R. Smith Middle School, in Holiday, was placed in a temporary controlled campus status today due to a report of an individual on campus possibly carrying a weapon.
The Pasco County Sheriff’s Office (PSO) swiftly responded to the situation and located the student in question. Upon investigation, it was determined that the student was in possession of an airsoft device.

School officials and law enforcement emphasize the importance of reporting any suspicious activity or circumstances to authorities.
“We want to encourage our students and community to continue to report suspicious activity or circumstances to authorities,” said Pasco Sheriff’s Office.
