PASCO COUNTY, Fla. – In a statement today, Pasco County Building Services said, “After reviewing comprehensive information provided by the Varsity Club Sports Bar’s engineering firm, has removed the unsafe’ posting from the building, allowing the interior of the restaurant to reopen. The patio area, which is nearest to the depression, remains closed.”
Emergency Management and Building Services have been monitoring the depression’s movement and have determined the additional growth is moving away from the building and is not affecting the footprint of the restaurant, so there is no immediate threat to the structure.
Pasco County continues to monitor the area, and we will provide updates, as they come in.
