Pasco Sheriff: Student Arrested For Social Media Threats Targeting Area Schools, Cypress Creek And Zephyrhills

PASCO COUNTY, Fla. – Pasco Sheriff’s Office has arrested a student involved in circulating threats on social media targeting Cypress Creek High School, Cypress Creek Middle School, and Zephyrhills High School.

The original photo associated with the threats has been circulated in other school districts within the Tampa Bay area but originated out of state. There are no known threats to any Pasco County Schools at this time.

The Pasco Sheriff’s Office did not release the age of the student or which school they attended.

PSO emphasizes that all threats are taken seriously and urges parents and guardians to discuss with students the severe consequences of making threats, even in jest.

The community is encouraged to continue reporting any suspicious activity or behavior.
