PASCO COUNTY, Fla. – The Pasco Sheriff’s Office is continuing its investigation into the shooting death of Marcus Marquis, 35, which occurred on September 18, 2022, in New Port Richey.
With the permission of Marquis’ family, who have waived their Marsy’s Law protections, the Sheriff’s Office is releasing his information in hopes of generating new leads in the case.
Marquis was shot by an unknown suspect around 5 a.m. while walking on the south side of SR 52, just east of Colony Road. He had entered the woods shortly before the shooting.

Detectives are asking anyone who knew Marquis or may have seen him before the incident to come forward.
