Pasco-Hernando State College (PHSC) is hosting a free workshop to help residents navigate the financial challenges following Hurricanes Helene and Milton. The workshop, titled “Financial Recovery,” will be held on Wednesday, October 30th, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the PHSC Porter Campus at Wiregrass Ranch Conference Center in Wesley Chapel.

This event, open to the public and sponsored by The Copeland Team, will provide valuable information and resources to aid in financial recovery. Attendees will learn about steps they can take to secure their financial well-being and connect with community agencies offering support. A free lunch will be provided.

“For PHSC, our community partnerships are essential in our service to students and each other. Natural occurrences, like hurricanes, have a way of reminding us that we are in this together,” said Davina Jones Ph.D., Provost of PHSC’s Porter Campus.

The workshop was originally planned to focus on broader financial topics but was shifted to address the specific needs of those impacted by the hurricanes. The original “Financial Fitness” workshop will be rescheduled for Spring 2025.
