DADE CITY, Fla. – The Pasco Sheriff’s Office was looking for the owner of a potbellied pig found wandering in Dade City on Monday afternoon, but the little fella has been claimed.

Deputies from the Agriculture Unit responded to a call about a stray pig near the intersection of Honeysuckle Drive and Colwell Court around 2 p.m. The pig, described as a male potbellied pig, was found safe and sound.

The Sheriff’s Office was asking anyone who believes the pig may be theirs to contact the Non-Emergency Line.

In the meantime, the pig was being cared for by the Pasco Sheriff’s Office Agriculture Unit.
