HERNANDO COUNTY, Fla.- A 38-year-old Hudson woman has died after a crash that happened around 2:30 am Tuesday, according to Florida Highway Patrol.
According to troopers, the woman was traveling southbound on US-41, approaching Southern Hills Boulevard, when she lost control of the vehicle.
Investigators say she crossed the center median and then entered the opposing shoulder and collided first with a ditch, then a tree before coming to a stop.
The woman was transported to an area hospital, the driver later expired from injuries suffered during the crash.
