Previous Report:

Pasco County Utilities announced Tuesday that water services have been fully restored after operational impacts to the water valving infrastructure caused extended outages and low pressure in several communities.

The affected areas included Grand Oaks Subdivision, Edgewater at Grand Oaks, Cobalt Apartment Homes, and Volanti Townhomes.

The outages occurred as crews worked on system improvements along Wesley Chapel Boulevard, disrupting water services throughout the day. According to the utility provider, all valves are now operational, and normal water flow has resumed.

However, a precautionary boil water notice has been issued for all impacted customers. Residents are advised to boil water for at least one minute before consumption, including drinking, cooking, or brushing teeth. As an alternative, bottled water is recommended.

What to Know About the Boil Water Notice

  • The boil water notice is a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of the water supply.
  • The notice will remain in effect until a bacteriological survey confirms that the water is safe for consumption.
  • Typically, these notices are rescinded within 48-60 hours.
  • Residents will receive an official notification once the precautionary notice has been lifted.

Pasco County Utilities apologized for the inconvenience caused by the water disruption and assured residents that efforts are being made to prevent similar occurrences in the future.
