LAND O’ LAKES, Fla. – Pasco County Sheriff Chris Nocco launched a public outreach, weekly video update, that will allow the community to be informed and allow the Sheriff’s Office to communicate in real-time.
“We want to work directly with you and communicate directly with you,” Sheriff Nocco said in a video update.
“That’s why we’re going to be putting out these weekly videos so that you hear directly from myself and other members of this organization of things that are affecting the Sheriff’s Office, but more importantly, things that are affecting our community.”
These updates can be viewed on Pasco Sheriff’s Office Facebook and Twitter accounts.
“We fight as one, that we, is our entire community,” said Nocco. Sheriff Nocco spoke of the real-time tips that poured in on Monday as the Sheriff’s department searched for the missing boy in Pasco County.
“Those tips led to the boys safety and us recovering him,” said Nocco.
Sheriff Chris Nocco discusses the importance of social media and community outreach as highlighted by Monday's Amber Alert in this week's weekly update.
