PASCO COUNTY, FL. – Pasco County Fire Rescue Firefighters and Forestry responded to the area of County Line Road and the Suncoast Parkway (Shady Hills) for a fast-moving brush fire on Friday.

Fire crews worked quickly to knock down the 172-acre brush fire.

Pasco Firefighters determined the cause to be an unattended campfire. Crews worked to protect several homes while fighting the fire, according to officials.

The fire burned one barn and multiple fences.

The owner of the property was cited by Forestry for the unattended burn. No injuries are reported.
