PASCO COUNTY, Fla. – U.S. District Judge Steven Merryday has sentenced 28-year-old Jason Alan Wacker of Pasco County to 10 years in federal prison for possession of child sexual abuse material. The court also ordered Wacker to forfeit two cellphones connected to the offense. Wacker pleaded guilty on August 12, 2024.
According to court documents, in May 2023, Wacker, a registered sex offender, was under supervised release for previous offenses involving the transportation and possession of child sexual abuse material. Authorities received a cyber tip indicating that Wacker was once again accessing such material.

A forensic examination of Wacker’s cellphones revealed more than 100 images and videos depicting child sexual abuse and exploitation.
The investigation was led by the Pasco Sheriff’s Office and the FBI. Assistant United States Attorneys Courtney Derry and Jennifer Peresie prosecuted the case.
